PORCUPINE STRAND, LABRADOR

Exploration in 2001, sampled part of a beach extending for 35 kilometres. Markland claims cover a 7 kilometre portion of this length. A portable pilot plant was moved to this area and field crews processed 21 sample sites. Heavy mineral concentrations averaged 55% in 13 offshore and 8 onshore samples. Initial microscope studies and later laboratory analysis indicated saleable metal contents. The depth of the placer has still to be confirmed.

Resource Potential:
Field Work has indicated an inferred resource of 30,000,000 tonnes.
