Fenton Scott
Director, Chairman of the Board

has over 50 years of experience in the minerals and mining industry. During this time he has participated in the discovery, development and production of gold, silver, base metal and industrial minerals mines across Canada. Such mines include the Musselwhite gold mine in northern Ontario, the Matagami Lake zinc-copper-silver mines in Northern Quebec, Gaspe Copper Mines and the Madeleine Mines in eastern Quebec. Career highlights include: four years as an Exploration Geologist at Noranda Mines, three years as Chief Geologist at Gaspe Copper Mines, four years as Chief Geologist, Minerals at Imperial Oil and nine years as Vice President for Esso Minerals Canada. He has also directed and conducted mineral exploration activities in Asia, the United States, Central America and Europe and Africa. Mr. Scott graduated from the University of New Brunswick with an undergraduate degree in Geology and a Master degree in Mining Geology. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario.  

Graeme Scott
Director, COO, Acting CEO

Graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Canada with a Bachelors of Science degree in geology. He has twenty years experience in the mineral science and mining industry. During this time Mr. Scott has carried out alluvial and industrial mineral exploration in Brazil, Venezuela, and Central America before joining Markland as a founder and managing director.

Served as senior officer of Bard Ventures International, Green Ice, La Fosse Platinum, Louvicourt Gold Mines. He is currently president of Caliber Energy.

Bernard Frankel
Director

Mr Frankel has been involved in mine finding and project finance for over 40 years. He was a director of Pez America Resources when it controlled Corona Mines International and Viking Resources. For 3 years before joining the Markland team Mr. Frankel played a role in the formation and development of Titanium Corporation of Canada.

George Silverman
Director

His long career has included the direction of exploration programs in Canada, the United states and Central America. Since 1952 he remains an active member of a prospecting group examining, buying and staking mineral clams in Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec. He has been active in the acquisition of several former gold and silver producers as well as cobalt producers in the Cobalt mining area of Northern Ontario. He has acted as director, financial advisor and consultant for a range of exploration and mining enterprises. They include the following: Silver-Men and Creswell Mines Ltd., Laurasia Resources Ltd., Pancontinental Mining Ltd, Australia, Minroc Management Ltd., Hollinger North Shore Mines Ltd.

In addition, he is responsible for raising private placement and flow-through financing for La Fosse Platinum Group.

Albert Leblanc
Director

graduated from the University of Moncton, N.B. with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1972. He held various accounting positions since then including Internal Auditor with the James Bay Hydro-electric Commission, Senior Auditor with a Chartered Accounting firm and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of a district school board. For the past six years Albert has acted as a Rural Development Officer in Nova Scotia.
