Markland Resource Development Inc. has a mandate to develop Canadian mineral opportunities in which management has identified the greatest potential for substantial returns for the company and our shareholders. Markland is managed by a team of professionals with over 100 years of industry experience. Since incorporation in Nova Scotia in 2001, the company has reviewed numerous advanced mineral projects in Eastern Canada. Twenty projects have been evaluated in detail including field evaluations. Three of these projects were chosen in Newfoundland and Labrador for acquisition by the company.

Three of Markland's properties are mineral sands projects. Company studies show that mineral sand deposits can be developed to commercial production at low capital and operating cost and yield the highest returns on capital investment compared to other mineral commodities.

The Churchill Sands Project, located in central Labrador is the present major focus of Markland's efforts. Four years of work on this project has indicated significant recoverable concentrations of iron, titanium and other saleable minerals. These “heavy minerals” occur in a drill indicated sand resource (body) that has the potential to be among the largest deposits of this type yet discovered.

It is the primary goal of the company is to continue evaluation and development on the Churchill Sands Project. In 2006 advanced development programs include both test mining and pilot plant operation. These activities will provide information of the specifications and sales value on Churchill mineral products.

Results to date suggest that the Churchill River Project has the potential to make Markland an important player in the high yield mineral sand sector.
